DISTINGUISHED MUSICAL TASTE
We Got the Chops
Well-steeped in the traditions of old-time music and animal husbandry tunes, the Nashville-based Ham String Band offers a level of cultural sophistication and musical taste seldom encountered in today’s modern era.
Featuring traditional Appalachian instrumentation and a stellar line-up of musicians, the Ham String Band specializes in providing live entertainment for barnyards, parking lots, hardware stores and other fine venues.
An evening with these porcine prodigies is sure to leave you bacon for more!
SWINE ARTISTS
Meat the Band
Nashville studio music legend and Grand Ole Opry regular Jeff “Ham Solo” Taylor (The Time Jumpers, Riders in the Sky) leads the herd with the most spigtacular accordion playing this side of the galaxy.
Harmonica icon, singer and songwriter Buddy “Lil’ Pig” Greene, co-author of the timeless Christmas classic, “Mary Did you Sow?” is sure to blow your house down with his stunning mouth-harp melodies and guitar pigin’.
Grammy-award winning singer and multi-instrumentalist Dennis “Pig Mac” Parker, long-standing band member of Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, roots the band along with the swinest old-time fiddling you’ve ever herd.
Dr. Steve “P-chop” Barnes, renowned orthopigic surgeon and guitar luthier, brings home the bacon with his lean mandolin chops, udderly amazing solos and well-seasoned wit.
The shoulder we all lean on, Kaiti “Piggles” Monroe, provides the soothing voice, gilted beauty, and steady hoghouse bass rhythm that keeps the whole herd together.
The scrambled brains behind the band, Dave “Einswine” Dillard provides plenty of blank stares and tail-curling old-time pickin’ on his hand-crafted banjos (Nashville Banjo Company).
